The last thing most folks are thinking about doing during the summer is putting on their snow gear and heading up to the mountain. For six summer’s of my childhood I did just that. In many ways my yearly migrations to Mt.Hood put me on the path to where I am today. Many of my closest friends were made while being up to no good at Hood. There’s going to be a lot of media generated this summer and Nice Life family member Tanner Pendelton gets it going with HCSC’s Session Uno recap video. Big props to Scott Stevens and the freshest Hartford Whalers shirt I’ve seen in a decade.
The interview with my buddy Aaron Blatt who shot this photo of me on a 0 degree night in Vermont. Click the photo to learn more about why you should care about who Aaron is.
I’m goin on a lil skate mission today with some friends and I wanted to start the day off with something to pump me up. Having worked with Silas at Windell’s Snowboard Camp in Oregon years ago I remember how much fun he was to skate with. This was of course right before he blew the lid of shit and deservingly started getting lots of coverage. Today Silas is one of the most stylish, well respected skater’s out there. He’s a really grounded guy who hasn’t let having a pro shoe for Adidas go to his head. So next time you need a new deck or pair of kicks think about gettin something with Silas’ name on it because he deserves a lil chunk of your change.
