Using 16mm Kodachrome film shot by Chicago Policemen on vacation in the 1960s, Jeff Altman put together a truly immersive piece. Like his “Home Movies From Disneyland” and “Kodachrome Christmas” videos “Las Vegas In Kodachrome” has a real time travel effect on you. We get to peer into a little window of a few regular people’s lives in full, glorious saturated color. Whether in stills or moving pictures nothing generates feelings of nostalgia like Kodak’s Kodachrome. I look forward to seeing more content generated from Jeff’s stockpile of thousands of feet of 16mm film.
