“Lonely Boy” is not an ode to Dan Humphrey(don’t judge me) but it is the first single off The Black Keys new album El Camino, due out December 6th. It comes as no surprise that the video is humorous, the song is excellent, sure to be another in what is a growing library of Black Keys’ hits. If you’re new to the Black Keys or just one of those people who knows them only from their last album Brothers, I urge you to go back and listen to their debut, 2002’s The Big Come Up, as well as 2004’s Rubber Factory. As with so many bands in the spotlight these days(My Morning Jacket, Kings Of Leon, Cut Copy) Black Key’s have an impressive catalog of music for new fans to dive into. So enjoy your listening and hope that NPR does a First Listen of El Camino because December 6th seems too long a wait right now.
